  • Salary range: $35,000-$70,000, Sweet spot: $45,000-$60,000
  • Major cities: $50,000-$70,000, Other markets: $35,000-$50,000
  • Hourly: $17-$34/hour   Sweet Spot: $22-$30/hour
  • Bonus: Customary

A night time manager, also known as overnight manager or night shift manager, is responsible for overseeing the operations of an organization during the night shift. This individual is typically in charge of managing the staff on duty during the night, managing security and safety, overseeing customer service and resolving customer complaints, handling emergencies, and making sure the establishment runs smoothly and efficiently. They must have strong leadership, organizational and customer service skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in order to be successful in this role. The job responsibilities of a night-time manager may vary depending on the specific employer and industry, they can be working in hospitality, retail, security, or healthcare facilities. They also need to be comfortable working in an environment where they may have limited supervision, they must have the ability to work independently, making quick decisions in high-pressure situations.

Job Description

  • Overseeing the operations of an organization during the night shift
  • Managing the staff on duty during the night, making sure they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently
  • Managing security and safety of the establishment and guests
  • Overseeing customer service and resolving customer complaints
  • Handling emergencies, such as medical situations, security issues, or natural disasters
  • Preparing shift reports and submitting them to the management
  • Monitoring the security cameras and ensuring the security protocols are being followed
  • Managing the inventory and ensuring adequate supplies are available for the night shift
  • Managing the cleaning and maintenance of the establishment during the night shift
  • Making quick decisions in high-pressure situations, such as medical emergencies or security incidents
  • Ensuring that all safety protocols are being followed and that the establishment is in compliance with all regulations.
